Uruguay maintains a fairly diverse fleet of armored vehicles considering the small size and peaceful nature of the country. The heaviest, most heavily armed and armored vehicles of this fleet are 15 Tiran-5Sh, T-55 tanks captured and modified to Israel and sold to the small Uruguayan state in the 1990s.
