Ash and cinders – what’s the difference?
Using wood ash replenishes mineral deficiencies in the soil. / dachnyisector loosens the soil and balances the pH, which has a beneficial effect on crop yields. The fertilizer is effective for sandstone, sandy loam, sod-podzolic, and bog soils, and it perfectly replenishes potassium and phosphorus deficiencies. Using wood ash as a fertilizer is not recommended on alkaline soils.
To transform heavy soil into light and breathable soil, apply ash in the fall at a rate of 0.1 to 0.8 kg per square meter. Sandy soil is best fertilized in the spring.
