SPITTING IMAGE CHICLETS GUM (1987)
Featuring the Spitting Image puppets, this campaign ran for a few years featuring different characters arguing about the product (a common trope during this era). It is indeed meant to be Lady Diana here, costumes changes and all.
Retrontario’s primary mission is the preservation, research and exhibition of rare videotape recordings (1970s to 1990s) recorded off of any and all Ontario (and surrounding area) TV channels; footage which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. We also hope to create an ongoing oral history of this content through comments left below the videos.
