How to get carla in linux mint / ubuntu 20 to work with obs?
i have linux mint cinnamon 20, i am also trying this in ubuntu cinnamon 20.
I am trying to use reafir realtime microphone noise suppression vst to cut the realtime mic noise in obs studio for streaming.
I cannot seem to get the out put from carla into OBS studio, on a separate audio channel input.
installing carla was fine from software manger carla version 2.4
copying reafir 64bit was fine from a windows machine
loading reafir is ok
However i am only given input reafir output
How do i route the output to a virtual mic or other output rather than system main.
the software manager does not see or know about cadence. I managed to sudo install cadence but it was an old version.
I could not figure out how to make the source files for cadence.
I got .82 release versions of cadence but they would not run
The problem: Decent realtime noise reduction for OBS.
(i have tried noise torch/ cadmus and wasnt very impressed)
(I use noise gate filter and noise suppression in obs but its still not as good as reafir)
Running reafir 64 or 32 .vst in carla. (achieved this) but it does swamp the desktop audio with a monitored sound.
then outputing to a virtual mic / alternate sound source than my primary sound out / stereo mix desktop. == problem!
I want some way of taking the output from carla running through reafir and taking that a microphone source for OBS studio.
The problem is i see no way of outputting from carla to anything other than the main audio mixer output.
I can sudo get cadence but its only .5
i downloaded the realease of cadence .82 but it just will not launch on mint or ubuntu 20.
I cannot figure out how to compile .92 makefile.. typing make shunts up pathing problems to qt5.
I downloaded the kxstudio 14 iso and installed but that doesnt work with obs because it uses opengl 2 rather than 3.3+
this video shows kind of what i am trying to achieve but i see no sign of jack sinks in the carla patchbay gui.
