Damasco Releases Their New Single: From the Heart of Barcelona's
Post-Hardcore Barcelona's underground scene has new exponents of emotional chaos and sonic catharsis: Damasco, a band bursting onto the post-hardcore/screamo scene with the release of "Oposición," the advance single from their upcoming album, "Miedo al Miedo."
Following the release of "Hamartia" (2022) and "Split con Ordara" (2023),
"Oposición" is the first taste of the material that will make up their second LP, scheduled for early 2026, recorded at Cal Pau Recordings and produced by Borja Perez.
Their approach combines the aggressiveness of post-hardcore with the heartbreaking sensitivity of the darkest screamo, creating soundscapes reminiscent of bands like
Converge, Loma Prieta, or Portrayal of Guilt, but with a distinct personality that draws on both chaos and restraint.
