Variable resistors, often referred to as potentiometers or rheostats, are electronic components with an adjustable resistance value. They allow the user to manually change the resistance within a specified range by turning a knob or slider.

There are two primary types of variable resistors: Potentiometer, Trimpot and Rheostat.
