🌼: Once every few months, we'd get a comment (or I'd get a comment on my old channel) for the whereabouts of the original cover I did of this song. Every time, I said, "please wait. I want to redo it." (I ended up making it Unlisted btw, so it was still KIND OF accessible;; )
Anyway, congratulations, you've survived the wait. 8'D
This is the penultimate nostalgia re-do release for my 12.5 year solo anniversary, and I'm so glad to have had help from Cy again for making it possible. (If you heard the first attempt, the chords were way off. So I brought in an expert!)
I no longer resonated with Oktavia's lyrics (which I'd used in the original cover), so I took on the challenge of writing my own. It's definitely a different kind of cynicism, but I hope that it can still resonate with those who listen. u __ u
