The Property Was Completely Out of Control
JUNK HOUSE - EPISODE 2: Helen and I purchased the best, worst house we could afford. This is the first week of work on the property spread over two months. The aim of this episode, and this chunk of time, was to stay clear of the house and concentrate on the property itself- the old sheds, clearing the overgrown garden and removing the fireplaces in order to get ready for the stumper (the man who’ll replace the foundations of the house). I sweated a lot in the late summer heat, lit a bunch of fires, didn’t spend enough time eating lunch, and absolutely loved hanging out with my wife, which is shockingly rare these days. What this first week did was make us realise how much there is still to come, although this was kinda the point.
