How to Create ANY Image Gallery Layout | Piktochart Tutorial

Have you ever tried creating a perfectly framed invitation, event poster, or gift voucher and ended up stretching and distorting your image proportionally to your growing frustration? Well, we thought we’d make things easier and explain how it’s done and how to keep your image in its original size. Here it goes:
STEP 1: Add a rectangle
Go to “Graphics” - “Shapes and Icons” and select the rectangle. You can stretch and resize it any way you want.
STEP 2: Align it
Good news! You don’t need to do this manually. Select your rectangle and head to the alignment tool on the top toolbar. Select “align to the center horizontally” or any other option that works for you.
STEP 3: Add your image
To do that, go to “Graphics” - “Photos”. From here, upload your own image or choose from a vast collection of stunning photos (royalty-free!)
STEP 4: Mask image with a rectangle
Select both: your chosen image and the rectangle at the same time by pressing the Shift key while you select. When both are selected, click on the “Mask” icon in the top toolbar, and voila! Your photo is now inside the rectangle.
STEP 5 (Optional): Change your frame color
Head over to “Background” in the left panel, select your color by pasting your own hex code, choosing from one of the predefined swatches, or opening a color selector with more shades.
