Here's why you shouldn't keep this fish as a pet. Meet the puffer fish, a tropical inhabitant that hides a deadly danger behind its cute appearance. In Japan, where it is considered a delicacy, fugu is prepared only by specially trained chefs, because its poison can kill up to thirty people. Tetrodotoxin, contained in the body of the fugu, is a hundred times stronger than cyanide. Despite this, these fish are not aggressive and are quite slow. However, keeping such a fish in an aquarium is extremely risky: even a drop of its poison can be fatal, which makes it much more dangerous than many snakes and spiders.
