Where can you get a home under $250k?
It’s no secret that home prices around the country are rising.
The median home sales price is $431,000 as of the third quarter of 2023. That’s a 31% increase from the beginning of 2020.
(Remember, average is when you add up all the prices and divide by the total number of prices, while the median is the middle number in the list of prices.)
In the states listed, the median home price is $250,000 or below, meaning HALF of the homes in that state sell below the median price.
Sometimes you have to look a little outside of the most popular areas to find them, but there are homes available for your price point.
