Sometimes you need folders made in a certain way to meet specific needs. Then the DIY approach is the right one. After a number of tutorials, I needed a place to store patterns and sketches, which I could return to later for further inspiration.
This was my starting point. Then I looked through the recycled materials available, and cardboard shipping envelopes seemed like the best solution in terms of shape and size.
If you often shop online, you've probably come across cardboard envelopes labeled A2, a standard 23.4 x 33.4 cm format suitable for holding books and small items, used by many online stores, including Amazon.
Even if you don't have these exact envelopes on hand, you can still make your own folder with cardboard of different origins and sizes. In the video, I show a simple way to join different pieces of cardboard, creating a nearly invisible joint once covered with paper. If you don't need the pocket, you can make two identical wings and obtain a folder with classic features.
