Today I set up a Bitcoin Knots Node on my HP Elite mini PC! Once it syncs up the plan is to Solo Mine Bitcoin to my own node at home!

**HERE ARE THE COMMANDS I USED TO SET UP MY BITCOIN NODE
1. Update your system
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y
2. Add the official Bitcoin Knots PPA
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:luke-jr/bitcoinknots
3. Update package list again
sudo apt update
4. Install bitcoind (the headless daemon)
sudo apt install bitcoind -y
5. Create the configuration file
mkdir -p ~/.bitcoin
nano ~/.bitcoin/bitcoin.conf
*******Copy and paste this minimal pruned config (then save with Ctrl + O → Enter → Ctrl + X):*********

prune=550
server=1
listen=1
maxconnections=125
Optional but recommended if you have 8 GB+ RAM
dbcache=2048
Uncomment these if you want to connect local wallets (Sparrow, etc.)
rpcuser=bitcoin
rpcpassword=ChangeThisToAStrongPassword123!
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
6. Start the node for the first time (manual test)
bitcoind -daemon
Wait 10–20 seconds, then check status:
bitcoin-cli getblockchaininfo
7. Command to check progress on block heigh etc
btcinfo | grep -E "blocks|progress|pruned|size_on_disk"
