This Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles performance of Sensemaya is from their "A Mighty Voice" concert in March 2011.
Sensemaya is a poem by Cuban poet Nicolas Guillen, which is based on Afro Cuban religious cults. Canadian composer Sid Robinovitch wrote this song incorporating the poem in 2000 to include rhythmic chanting, dissonant and occasionally chaotic harmonies, and spoken verses.
