Next.js 16 Just Changed EVERYTHING (Cache Components, MCP, Proxy, Turbopack)
So today is a big day. The Next.js team just released Next.js 16, and you know what that usually means: a lot of breaking changes. Okay, no, I’m actually joking this time. It’s way better, and I’m honestly pretty happy and excited about the new stuff they’ve introduced. Now, let me be real, there are also a few changes I absolutely hate, like the new Proxy, but the introduction of the MCP server, cache components, and seeing Turbopack finally stable for both development and build is super exciting. In this video, we will go through all the changes, I will explain them, and share my thoughts on what I like and what I absolutely don’t!
