DESIGN DETAILS
The channel of multiple antennas at both the transmitter and receiver ends is simply called Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) channel. It is possible to multiplex different data streams to a communication link simultaneously using the MIMO technology. Therefore, the data rate is boosted without the use of any conventional frequency, time, or code domain approaches. The MIMO approach can also be used for spatial diversity rather than multiplexing to benefit the Bit Error Rate (BER) performance of the wireless communication link. With these features MIMO is regarded as an emerging technology for the increasing demand on the capacity and reliability of wireless communications. In this Matlab design blind matched filtering technique is applicable for the receivers, where a channel matched filter is placed prior to the channel equalizer. The technique mandates that the filters of the receiver must be linear filters. Due to the technique; The matched filter is moved after the equalizer and the receiver still achieve the same equalization performance due to the linearity maintained in the receiver.
