They told us "bigger is better." They told us "real pros use heavy glass." After 42 years in IT and a lifetime of hiking, I'm here to tell you: for photographers over 60, that is a lie that hurts—literally.

In this video, I’m breaking down the heavy gear myths that keep us from enjoying photography as we age.

I'm confessing my past beliefs about full frame camera, F2.8 lenses, and high camera megapixels. This video questions what these assumptions truly provided, primarily increased weight and expense. For landscape photography enthusiasts, especially those 55 and older, these photography tips are crucial for keeping the hobby enjoyable and manageable.
