Important things to remember for magnetics:
It only works if there is a physical property (susceptibility) contrast
The main field you are measuring is the induced field, but there is also the possibility of a remanent field in a direction different to the induced field that will affect your results
Make measurements at 90 degrees to the strike of the body
Factors affecting the size and shape of an anomaly are: Bearing of your profile, latitude of the survey, depth of the body and also flight height, and width of the body, susceptiblity of the body, remanent magnetisation of the body
Don't forget that your resolution is affected by the instrument you use, but also how often you take a measurement. Station spacings that are too large can result in aliasing and undersampling of the anomaly (see Nyquist frequency)
