The markdown file format is a great format for writers and developers alike. Markdown syntax is easy to understand and learn and is quickly converted to other file types via programs like Pandoc.

In this video I show you several features available to help you enhance your markdown writing experience while using the Pulsar Text Editor. I'll show you how to toggle markdown preview (which is a package built into the Pulsar Text Editor) and I'll show you how to copy or save the html that is generated, meaning you might not need to install pandoc to convert your document to html.

I'll even show you some features that aren't added with markdown preview.

I'll show you a package, markdown-toc, that allows you to easily and quickly create a table of contents in your markdown document. With this package you can create a table of contents, update a table of contents, or delete a table of contents for your markdown document all with a simple keyboard shortcut!

By watching this video you'll learn quick and advanced markdown editing skills that will vastly improve your workflow allowing you to create content for your academic documents, blog, or journal with ease.
