I used a combination of the A minor pentatonic scale (A,C,D,E,G), the A Dorian scale (A,B,C,D,E,F,G), and the A Blues scale (A,C,D,Eb,E,G). Arpeggio sequences were used on the second sections, but playing in G major (on chords G,D) and then in F major (on chords F.C) will also work and add a nice contrast to the A progression in the beginning of the piece.
