Keyseach is the new kid on the block. With an affordable option to get started with keyword research and more. Buy a year's worth for as much as SEMrush charges in a month! Keysearch also has a great site analyzer tool that can create PDF audits for clients. Rank tracking is also easily created to keep an eye on your domain strength.
KWFinder from Mangools is a solid option but if the price is a concern, they are noticeably more expensive. Almost twice the price of Keysearch, but Mangools has one tool that I love. That is their browser extension that gives a quick look into everything you need to know about the website you are on. See how their on-page SEO is, what keywords they are ranking for, backlinks, and more. This tool alone is well worth the price in my opinion.
So we use both the tools to conquer different aspects of our SEO work. Way cheaper than SEMrush or Ahrefs, but those tools still have their place. It all depends on your goals and budget.
