The Language of Relations and Functions: sets, elements, relations, cartesian products, Ordered pairs, and how they relate to a function. We finally define a function in terms of sets, elements, relations, cartesian products, and ordered pairs. In this video, we define a function not in the classic way we define a function, but in terms of our new understanding of sets. First, we will address Relations and how order pairs are elements of said relation. Second, we will combine the definition of relation with our original understanding of a function. This new definition allows us to have a more in-depth understanding of the relationship between sets, elements, relations, cartesian products, ordered pairs, and functions.
