How to open a bottle with a winged corkscrew opener

A corkscrew, also called a corkscrew, is a tool usually composed of a metal helix with a handle or lever; it was invented to extract corks from bottles and jars of wine or bottled syrup. Corkscrews are made from a variety of materials, such as plastic, metal, or wood, but the spiral is always made of steel.

Types
There are different types of corkscrews:

Bottle-type, the most common, which also comes in different shapes.
Folding, commonly used in the hospitality industry as it can be carried in a pocket.
With wings that rise when the auger is inserted, making extraction easier by levering. This is very common in the home.
Wall-mounted, attached to the wall and operated by a lever.
Blade-type or tab-type - consisting of two metal blades that are inserted into the sides of the bottle's neck, thus extracting the cork intact. It also allows the cork to be reinserted.
Lever - This type of corkscrew2 uses a lever to uncork a bottle of wine. Pulling down the lever causes the spiral to pierce the cork, and then lifting the lever to remove the cork from the bottle.
Compressed air - Air is injected with a pump through a needle passing through the cork. The air current lifts the cork, but can damage the structure of the wine, which is why it is rarely used.
History of the corkscrew

Two corkscrews.
The first example of a corkscrew dates back to 17th-century England.3 The first corkscrews were similar to the tool used to extract bullets from rifles, as described in the first patent, registered by Samuel Henshall in 1795.4

When the custom of using a cork to close wine bottles spread during the 18th century, so did the use of the tool. [citation needed] At this time, the cylindrical bottle appeared, so the cork was shaped to fit the bottle to prevent spillage and facilitate horizontal storage. This storage method allowed the cork to adhere to the bottle, which is why a tool capable of extracting the cork from these bottles had to be devised. Although Samuel Henshall was not the direct inventor of the corkscrew, he added a wheel to the design to prevent the corkscrew from sinking too far and facilitate extraction. His patent had a "T" shape.

In 1802, Edward Thompson added a metal "hat" to the design that wrapped around the mouth of the bottle. After the spiral pierces the cork, it forces it to rise and exit. 5 During the 19th century, the tool evolved, generating different models. 6

The winged corkscrew, with two levers and gears (which resemble two large eyes, earning it the nickname "the owl"), is a 1932 design attributed to the Basque industrialist David Olañeta, for his BOJ brand, which still produces them today. 7
