We visited several interesting places in the Kakheti region of Georgia.
We visited the city of Telavi - the capital of the Kakheti region, which was founded in the 1st century AD, ate real khinkali there and walked around the Batonis-Tsikhe fortress. We also walked around the local park Nadikvari and looked at the 900-year-old Platan tree.
We visited the house-museum of Alexander Chavchavadze, stopped at the old GREMI fortress. We saw the most beautiful lake ILII, which was named after Ilia Chavchavadze.
We visited several ancient churches and abandons, among which were:
NEW SHUAMTA, OLD SHUAMTA, IKALTO Monastery, and ALAVERDI Cathedral.
