Concrete Takeoff in Bluebeam + Excel Estimating | Free Excel Sheet Download Included
Commercial construction estimating sample project walkthrough with commentary. This video will be a guide to using Bluebeam Revu for On Screen Takeoff. This video is based on the structural concrete for the sample project, which is a 3450 sq ft new out of the ground commercial building. We will take off the concrete wall footings, spread footings, concrete foundation walls, piers, slab on grade, thickened slab, etc. I think show you how to export takeoff quantities to CSV and begin working in excel to create a custom estimating worksheet from scratch. There are many concepts explained in the Excel portion to help organize the data and create a functional layout that will calculate dollar value costs on individual line items from your takeoffs. This workflow and schema can be endlessly customized to fit your own construction trade or specialty and help you gain further insight to key metrics associated with your work.
Note: this is an example project and not in full detail regarding all concrete work items. The assembly unit cost dollar values are approximate and only included for the purpose of demonstrating the workflow.
