I'm Doğanay Vural, a veterinarian and documentary filmmaker.
This time, our target is the ghost of the mountains... the snow leopard.

Its camouflage ability, which makes it nearly invisible in the Himalayas, gives it its name.
But photographing it requires not only patience but also physical and psychological challenges.

This journey began in the mountains, which reach up to 5,800 meters.
At those heights, oxygen levels are nearly halved.
Even breathing becomes a struggle.
Your heart races, your head spins, your fingers go numb.
But the curiosity within you... always drives you a little higher.

We've traveled some of the world's most dangerous roads to get here.
On the narrow, cliff-edged curves, a rock could fall or your tire could slip at any moment.
But turning back was never an option.
Because a "ghost" lives in these mountains...
And we wanted to see that ghost's presence with our own eyes.

In the area where we set up camp, temperatures dropped to -40 degrees Celsius.
When we woke up in the morning, even the inside of the tent was frozen solid.
Water bottles froze, and your breath crystallized in the air.
Sometimes your camera battery would run out in minutes, and sometimes you couldn't feel your fingers.
But you held on to your camera.

We weren't alone in this challenging landscape.
Species like the black wolf, the blue sheep, the ibex, the red fox, the bearded vulture, and the red-legged partridge also shared the same habitat as the snow leopard.
Each was a silent part of this ecosystem.
And in that silence, we searched for a trace...
A paw print, a leopard dropping, a scream...
Anything could be a clue.

At the end of the road, we arrived at Key Monastery.
The fourth-highest-altitude monastery in the world.
Above the clouds, in the heart of the silence...
There, it was as if time stood still.

This documentary isn't just about finding the snow leopard.
It's also about discovering one's own limits.
Despite the cold, fatigue, and despair...
The story of pursuing a dream.
