Hello Travelers, With Version 5.8 marking the end of Natlan, all attention is now turning to Genshin Impact’s next major region: Nod-Krai. Thanks to reliable leaks, we now have an early look at the characters expected to arrive—along with their elements, factions, and roles. And from the sound of it, this region is packed with some of the most anticipated names in Genshin history.
Nod-Krai: The Next Era of Genshin.
From a lore perspective, Nod-Krai will start tying up loose story threads and move us closer to the long-awaited showdown with the Tsaritsa. On the gameplay side, it will introduce a brand-new reaction system: Lunar Reactions. These aim to revamp weaker elemental combos like Superconduct and Crystallize, finally giving them a place in the meta.
The first character to lead this charge is Ineffa, a 5-Star Electro character launching in Version 5.8. She's a mechanical construct built by the founder of the Clink-Crank Krumkake Craftshop, and her Lunar-Charged ability is a major upgrade over traditional Electro-Charged. She already looks promising for Electro teams—and her synergy will only grow stronger with future Nod-Krai characters.
Leaked Characters & Their Details.
According to reliable leaker Shiroha, here’s what we can expect from Nod-Krai’s upcoming roster:
Version 6.0 is rumored to debut two powerful characters: a 5-Star male Electro DPS from the Lightkeepers faction, and a 5-Star female Geo DPS from the Frostmoon Scions. These two will likely showcase the core mechanics of the new Lunar Reactions, with one enhancing Electro and the other bringing fresh utility to Crystallize.
In Version 6.1, we’re expected to meet a female Pyro support unit from the Curatorium of Secrets, offering a unique take on Pyro-based team comps.
Then, in Version 6.2, things really heat up—Durin, the long-speculated dragon and counterpart to Dvalin, is finally becoming playable. He’s a male Pyro DPS aligned with the Knights of Favonius. Lore-wise and gameplay-wise, he’s shaping up to be a huge addition.
Version 6.3 will reportedly introduce Columbina, a female Hydro hybrid unit and one of the Fatui Harbingers. Alongside her will be a mysterious female Anemo character associated with the Liyue Adepti—though her exact role is still unknown.
Later down the line, in Version 6.5, we’re set to get Varka, the long-awaited male Anemo DPS and Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius.
In Version 6.6, Nicole, a female Cryo support and a member of the Hexenzirkel, will join the roster. And in Version 6.7, the legendary Alice herself is finally stepping into the spotlight as a 5-Star Pyro DPS, also hailing from the Hexenzirkel.
What It Means for Players?
Version 6.0 alone will introduce two strong 5-Star units with brand-new mechanics. If you’re planning your pulls, now’s the time to start thinking about team building—especially if you want to take full advantage of Lunar-Charged and Lunar-Crystallize. With Primogems being tight in recent patches, your resource management going into Nod-Krai is going to be critical.
Be Cautious—Leaks Can Change.
As always, remember that leaked information can change. Even if HoYoverse has a solid internal roadmap, characters can be delayed, reworked, or dropped entirely. For example, Charlotte was originally listed as an Anemo unit, Kirara started out as Geo, and Dahlia was allegedly finished as far back as 2023.
Nod-Krai officially launches on September 10, 2025, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most important regions in Genshin Impact history.
