I loaded a few sacks of potatoes into my Zaporozhets and headed down the road. The car is small, of course, but I was confident it would be okay, I'd get there. I was driving along calmly, when suddenly I felt something was wrong. I pulled over to the side of the road, got out, and saw that the front tire had simply burst. Apparently, the potatoes were worse than I thought.
I was standing there, watching all this, when a UAZ pulled up behind me. The driver got out, came over, and asked, "Did you get a flat tire?" I answered, "Yes." He came over, tested the tire with his foot, and asked, "Do you have a spare tire?" I said, "Yes, in the trunk." I opened the front trunk of the Zaporozhets, and there were several sacks of potatoes inside.
The UAZ driver looked at all this and was surprised: "Where did you load all those potatoes?" I answered honestly, "I thought I'd get there." He offers, "Load it to me, the UAZ will definitely make it." Well, if it's a UAZ, that means it's reliable. We load the bags, hook the Zaporozhets up to the tow rope, the driver gets behind the wheel, starts driving... and his UAZ's rear wheel comes off.
