Games created in Unity 3D, like all other programs, can be hacked—changed through saving parameters, altered game logic, spoofed data from the operating system, and anything else your imagination can come up with. In this video series, I'll show you several methods cheat creators or simply advanced players might use to cheat in your game, and I'll show you how to protect yourself from them. While it's impossible to completely eliminate the possibility of cheating in a single-player game, you can make it more difficult for dishonest players.
In this second part, I'll explain how players can edit scripts, change game logic, and extract or replace resources such as sprites, textures, or 3D models. And of course, I'll show you how to protect yourself from common methods of this.
