Originally built as a single seat Hawker Hunter F4 in 1955, this aircraft was converted into a two seat T7 in 1959 following repairs for an in-flight fire. Eventually sent to Germany, it served with the RAF Jever and Gutersloh Station Flights and later joined No.2(AC) Squadron also based at Gutersloh. Today, the aircraft wears its authentic No 2(AC) Squadron colours. Following spells at RAF Valley and RAF Laarbruch it returened to the UK once more to serve wit 208 Squadron as a conversion trainer for Buccaneers before moving to No 237OCU in 1983 before being placed into storage. In 1984 the aircraft was transferred to the Royal Navy and served with the Fleet Requirement and Air Direction Unit (FRADU) before passing to RNAS Culdrose in 1993 as a ground instruction airframe.
The aircraft was finally withdrawn from military use in 1996 and auctioned into civilian hands. Restored by Jet Heirtage it has had a number of civilian owners before being aquired by Graham Peacock in 2012 and based at North Weald in Essex. It will be flown at Shoreham by Chris Heames.
