How I find leads using LinkedIn's hidden filters
LinkedIn has so many hidden filters. Here's my favorite for finding warm leads in just a few steps. I’ve used this strategy for years and seen it work with dozens of clients across several industries & ICPs.
STEP 1: Find a relevant influencer in your niche
Google “Top (Niche) influencers”. Then pick someone whose content closely aligns with your value proposition.
STEP 2: In LinkedIn, search for the job title you want to prospect
STEP 3: In “All Filters” enter the name of the influencer under “Followers of”
STEP 4: Open each prospect in a new tab
STEP 5: Use Magical's free Chrome extension to automatically push these leads to a spreadsheet, CRM, or sequence tool
📝 Here’s an example of the messaging I use:
Hey {{first}} – I saw we both follow {{influencer}} on LinkedIn. Did you see their recent post on {{topic that relates to your solution}}? If not, here’s the link - I thought you’d like it.
{{tie that topic into your value proposition}}
If it sounds relevant, mind if I share a short video?
