How To Hide Phone Number In Telegram
If you're concerned about privacy on Telegram and want to hide your phone number from other users, you're in the right place. By default, Telegram connects your account to your phone number, but it gives you full control over who can see it or use it to find your profile. This is especially helpful if you're joining public groups, using Telegram for business, or simply prefer to stay anonymous.
To hide your phone number, start by opening the Telegram app and logging into your account. Once you're on the main screen, tap the three-line menu icon in the top-left corner to open the navigation panel. From there, tap on Settings.
Inside the Settings menu, select Privacy and Security. Under the Privacy section, tap on Phone Number. This is where you control who can view your number and who can use it to search for your account. In the "Who can see my phone number" option, choose Nobody to fully hide it. If this is set to Everybody or My Contacts, people may still be able to view your number depending on their relationship to you.
Below that, look for the option "Who can find me by my number." If you don't want anyone to find your account using your phone number, change this setting to Nobody as well. This will prevent people from locating your Telegram profile just by typing in your number.
Once you apply these changes, they take effect immediately, and your number will no longer be visible to others unless you've added them to an exceptions list. This is the most secure setting if you want to use Telegram while keeping your personal number private.
