France has created an invisible nuclear bomber, and nobody knows it. In 1999, Dassault Aviation secretly launched the LOGIDUC program to design the first European stealth drone. The project evolved into nEUROn, a combat demonstrator developed by six European nations under French leadership, with a budget of €405 million. Its first flight was in 2012, its first formation flight with a Rafale and a Falcon 7X in 2014, and its penetration of the defenses of the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle in 2016—the nEUROn pushed the boundaries of European technology. Today, its successor, a 17.5-ton stealth combat drone, is preparing to fly alongside the Rafale F5 in 2033.
