Malaysia has a multi-religious structure where different ethnic backgrounds and belief systems live side by side. Even though Islam is the official religion, Buddhism and Hinduism maintain a strong presence in public and cultural life.
In this episode, to better understand Malaysia’s religious landscape, we visit three places of worship in Kuala Lumpur: Thean Hou Temple, Batu Caves, and the Federal Territory Mosque. Through these sites, we observe how Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism take their place in daily life. Malaysia’s religious identity forms a multi-faith public order shaped together with cultural and ethnic diversity.
