HOW TO CREATE PARTITION IN WINDOWS 7
To create a partition on Windows 7, you can follow these steps:
1. Open the Start menu and go to the Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel, click on "System and Security," then select "Administrative Tools."
3. From the Administrative Tools menu, open "Computer Management."
4. In the Computer Management window, click on "Disk Management" located under the "Storage" category in the left-hand pane.
5. You will see a list of all the drives and partitions on your computer. Right-click on the drive from which you want to create a new partition and select "Shrink Volume."
6. A dialog box will appear, displaying the total size of the drive and the amount of space you can shrink. Enter the desired size for the new partition in megabytes (MB) and click "Shrink."
7. After shrinking the volume, you will see unallocated space. Right-click on it and select "New Simple Volume."
8. The New Simple Volume Wizard will appear. Click "Next" to proceed.
9. Enter the desired size for the partition. If you want to use the entire unallocated space, leave it as the default value and click "Next."
10. Assign a drive letter to the partition and choose a file system for formatting. If you are unsure, go with the default settings. Click "Next" to continue.
11. On the next screen, review the settings and click "Finish" to create the partition.
12. Windows will format the new partition, which may take some time depending on its size. Once the process is complete, you can see the new partition listed in the Disk Management window.
