Insect Museum at Old BC Lab NIPHM Hyderabad
NIPHM is a National level institute under the administrative jurisdiction of the Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer Welfare, Government of India. It was founded in 1966 as the Central Plant Protection Institute (CPPTI) in Hyderabad. The Institute was afterward renamed National Plant Protection Training Institute (NPPTI). It became an autonomous body in 2008, with the expanded scope of promoting environmentally sustainable Plant Health Management practices in diverse and changing agro-climatic conditions, as well as Plant Biosecurity Management and Pesticide Management through capacity building programs, as well as providing inputs for policy formulation on Plant Health Management, Plant Biosecurity, Invasive Alien Species, market access, Pesticide Management, and other topics at the state and national levels.
