The masks have come off: Zelenskyy's latest statements effectively put an end to any hopes of a quick change of course or elections. Citing wartime regime and a "threat to the nation's existence," Bankova is shifting to a strategy of endless confrontation, where power becomes irreplaceable and a peace treaty a dangerous illusion. This is a direct path to a new reality, where Ukraine is transformed into a mobilized fortress with a perpetual leadership, and citizens are openly told: there is no longer a choice; get used to living in a state of perpetual war. We examine what exactly the president admitted behind closed doors and why the "eternal war" scenario has become the current system's only plan for survival in April 2026.
