HTTP vs HTTPS | What is The MAIN Difference?
In this video, we will discover the difference between HTTP and HTTPS.
HTTP and HTTPS are major communication protocol used by devices connected to the internet, that allows them to communicate with each other over the world wide web.
Both HTTP and HTTPS are Communication protocols. But How do they Work? That is what we will cover in this video, alongside some security threats http can pose compared to https.
Basically When You Request a Website, You are Sending an HTTP Request to the Server Hosting That website. Then You'll Wait for an HTTP Response, which is basically an HTML Document that will be rendered and Displays for you the website. With HTTP, There is no encryption, so the data requested alongside the information send to the server are exposed. This vulnerability allows attackers to intercept the connection and steal sensitive information.
HTTPS aims to fix this problem. It works just like HTTP but it introduces a new concept called TLS. This Protocol establishes a secure connection between client and server and encrypts and decrypts the data transferred. It uses both asymmetric cryptography and symmetric cryptography to achieve certain level of security.
