A couple of ITV Schools junctions from Autumn 1981, neither of which is complete unfortunately.
This slide was used in the very first week of the term, and is the first of the set of slides depicting David Weston's History of the British Steam Locomotive.
Starting Out was shown as the first programme of the day on Tuesdays, and repeated on Fridays. Oddly, Believe it or Not wasn't scheduled that term, according to Southern Television's copy of the Annual Programme Booklet, which has Experiment preceding Starting Out on Fridays! Perhaps it was shown in other regions (part-networking of different programmes wasn't unheard of). There is no doubt at all this is from Autumn 1981 though, so maybe a check of the newspaper listings from another region will solve this puzzle? On the information I have, I'm concluding that despite this anomaly we're watching junctions from Friday 25th September 1981, at about 10.47am and 11.03am.
The music heard is an edit of Buttercup (over the clocks) and Lavender 2, both by Martin Kershaw.
Many thanks to Simon Luxton for this footage. As far as I know it isn't uploaded elsewhere.
