This is a playthrough using Minto in the PS1 game Samurai Shodown: Warriors Rage. Read on below for more information...
Minto is an unlockable playable character in the game.
===== HOW TO UNLOCK MINTO =====
Beat Story Mode with Ran Po.
===== ABOUT MINTO =====
Minto is an orphan and is the younger adopted sister of Ran Po. She was raised without moral discipline and proper etiquette, so she has a rather wild and carefree look on life. As a curious person she has befriended many of the orphans in Ritenkyo, one of whom being an older boy named Mario. He is an "inventor" of sorts, and eventually created Minto's weapon as a present to her. As Mario admires (and probably has a crush on) Mikoto, he ended up "joining" the Razor Trio at their hideout, in which Minto follows him.
Minto's weapon is called the Cat Hammer of Autumnal Colors, which is a hammer that is stylized like a cat's paw.
===== GAMEPLAY =====
She is basically a clone of Ran Po with the same special and super moves... some of basics and command basics are different though (probably slightly better). Obviously the movement animations, such as walking, are different.
An interesting thing of note is that when she hits opponents with her weapon, the hit sparks are stars.
===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION =====
---- She is the only character in the game to have two alternate costumes on top her default costume.
---- Technically-wise, the alternate costume versions of her are actually separate characters in the game's code. So in total there are three Mintos in the game.
---- The game is also known as "New Chapter of Samurai Spirits, Strange Tale of the Swordsman: Revival of the Blue and Red Blade".
===== ABOUT SS:WR =====
As part of one of the most respected fighting game franchises, this game could have been actually been good if they implemented better gameplay to it... instead, there's too much stopping and starting due to it's unique lifebar/round system, and the jumping is way overdone. The game is also kind of "bland" overall, and for the most part "suffers" from the Samurai Shodown "environmental-only" soundtracks (whether this is a good or a bad thing is up to you).
Aside from the above, the game does shine by having a large roster of characters and detailed story dialogues between them (when you're playing through Story Mode). There are also some good FMV cutscenes and solid endings which feature several images and plenty of dialogue for each character (the ones who have an ending that is). Haohmaru and Hanzo are the only familiar characters to return.
Perhaps one of the crimes of this game is not having Nakoruru as a playable character... instead she is just a story character in this one folks.
