The vast majority of students are not quite satisfied with their allocated Department and/or Institute during JOSAA counselling. In this video I give some tips to help overcome these negative feelings.
The main advice is to shun an escapist attitude from the very beginning.
Students should try to find out what professional engineers from their Department actually do. They should also try to find out what kind of cutting edge research is going on in their Department.
Every Institute has a historicity to it. If students can find out about it, they will definitely feel motivated and inspired.
