My journey
My ttc journey started way back 12 years ago, after being diagnosed with PCOS . I wanted to ttc right away after marriage but my job as a Clinical Research Associate with a pharma MNC company was very stressful.
I finally left my job to pursue my dream of being a mom. Months of clomids, HSG, IUI ,surgery and finally IVF. Conceived back in 2012 April that resulted in a miscarriage at 4 months due to incompetence cervix and conceived a twin again in dec 2012 which also ended in a early miscarriage. Subsequently tried many cycles of fresh and frozen cycles of IVF for 2 years which none were successful. To date I've done 12 cycles of IVF (8 fresh and 4 frozen cycles. )
I want you to know that there are more complicated things beyond sex, sperm and egg alone. But today I write this story with my twin boys sleeping by my side. I was determined to fight till the end and promised myself to never give up. TTC was never an easy journey, every UPTs can possibly break you down every time you test . But I tell you , it's never a waste when you see those little eyes looking back at you one day.
My advice is to always seek a fertility specialist if you are ttc. Below 30 wait for a year before you seek professional help and those after 30 years of age , please seek after 6 months of TTC. Please see a fertility specialist and not the normal GP .
