Ross Goose being chased by a Bald Eagle, Panama Flats, Victoria BC
This is (was) a single ross goose that was found on Panama Flats on April 21, 2022. Ross geese are rare birds to Victoria checklist area and on this day, another group of Ross geese provided the first document record for the species in the checklist region. Unfortunately, this bird did not survive the eagle attack as off camera a second eagle flew in to join the pursuit and caught the goose.
