Back Up Router Configurations on the Mikrotik Cloud Server
Previously the IP / Cloud function on the Mikrotik Router can only be used for Update Time which functions to update the time on our router automatically.
And also DDNS which serves to provide Dynamic DNS that we can use to remotely remotely Router (if we do not have a public static IP address or a public IP address provided by the ISP in the form of a dynamic public IP).
Mikrotik recently provided a new feature on the IP / Cloud menu, namely Backup on Router OS version 6.44beta39.
which allows us to save our Router configuration online on the Mikrotik Cloud server, this feature does not have a menu in Winbox or Webfig, while it can only be done through the CLI and files that are allowed to be uploaded on the Mikrotik cloud only 1 file is up to 50MB
Mikrotik uses UDP / 15252 and TCP / 15252 so to use this feature make sure not to filter both the protocol and port. For configuration, it's also quite easy.
When you do Netinstall on the Router, the backup file on the "file list" router will disappear. Even though the backup file is important for us, if we have backed up to another device, for example, we save it on a Laptop / PC then it is not a problem, but if we have not backed up the configuration and we are required to do Netinstall because of a need then Backup on Cloud Server This microtic is a solution.
