Monster Public Land 17 Point Buck 2017
In 2016 I had a quick encounter with a really nice public land buck. He came in from behind me and did not cross a shooting lane. I did not have a great shot but had a small hole to shoot through but my arrow deflected off a limb. 1 year later to the exact day and exact minute the same buck came by bumping a doe around. I had my muzzleloader and dropped him in his tracks. He was a big mainframe 10 point with a bunch of 1 to 2 inch kickers off of his base giving him 17 points. Because of the way he came in the buck was in thick cover and made it very hard to get good quality footage. The biologist at the check-in station aged this buck at 7 plus years old.
