BestTug vs Airtug: A Pilot Tries Both

I am not familiar with creating movies but was able to string 2 short videos together of me testing the new AirTug vs the BestTug. Posting to YouTube is also foreign to me. Hopefully you can find a way to use this short testimonial.
BestTug wins in looks but fails in function. In this video you will see I need to “hang off the tug” in order to increase traction. This is based off of the company’s recommendation. The trick actually works on this test day. However, I purchased the AirTug NFE-4 because too many other days the BestTug failed. Throwing sand under the tires nor studding the tires improves the situation. I was then left trying to find someone to help me move the plane. The AirTug simply works. No gymnastics needed! It is not in the video, but I stopped and started the tug from every patch of the ramp where the BestTug showed slippage. The AirTug never hesitated. Should conditions get icier I do have chains (not an option on the BestTug). I did not put them on because I wanted an apples-to-apples test. BestTug will probably say this is not apples-to-apples because of the design differences (their Bravo is similar in design). However, the Alpha is the direct price competitor to the NFE-4. So if you are looking to save money but not sacrifice function: buy the AirTug!
