Yo! This is my lyrics video of "Night Cruising" live at Akasaka Blitz by Fishmans!
I recently discovered Fishmans and i instantly fell in love with them, especially with this live album. I was surprised to find out that on the Internet there was only one translation of the full album, and although i expected it as Fishmans is not that well known, this album (kinda) is, so i put my hands to work and decided to do some honest work by 'translating' the entire concert into both English and Spanish! But i knew it would be a hard mission, only one English translation on the entire Internet, and the other translations around are based on it?! (this one too, but it's a bit different) "This will be hard" i said to myself, but i didn't give up, so i engaged in a lot of research, i searched through sites, videos, documents and much more (i only searched in like 2 sites, but let's ignore that) to give you guy only the best! (i took some liberties here and there, hehe) That being said, let's get to the details of this song.
"Night Cruising" This one is interesting.
This song's lyrics are something well, they are really, really confusing, in most of the lyrics it's impossible to understand what Sato wanted to say.
My decision was to make it as melancholic as possible, having in mind that it was Sato's last performance, this is what i changed:
In the first verse i made some changes (apart from changing some words) i decided to change "crazy night" to simply "that night" even though this line was in the original lyrics, i also removed the word "special" from "That girl was carrying something special" it was to much to me.
In the second verse i had some problems, the first 2 lines literally translate to "I didn't do it for anyone, we've been living our lives" and maybe it's just me, but it doesn't seem to make any sense, so i decided to change it completely and, keeping in mind my goal of making it as melancholic as possible, i transformed it to "All my life i've lived only for myself." It sounds like something that Sato would say, i hope it doesn't bother yall.
And finally i changed the line that says "I hear a nice voice" to "I think i'm hearing a beautiful melody" although i did this only once since right after Sato repeats it and i decided to leave it as it was.

¿Qué hay? ¡Este es mi 'traducción' de "Night Cruising" en vivo desde Akasaka Blitz de Fishmans!
Recientemente descubrí a la banda Fishmans y me enamoré completamente de ellos, en especial de esta actuación en vivo, grande fue mi sorpresa al enterarme que en el Internet solamente había una traducción al inglés del concierto completo, y aunque me lo esperaba al ser Fishmans una banda no tan conocida, este álbum (más o menos) lo es, ¡así que me puse manos a la obra y decidí poner mi humilde granito de arena al 'traducir' el concierto completo en tanto inglés como español! Pero sabía que sería una tarea difícil, ¡¿solamente una traducción al inglés en todo el Internet, y las otras traducciones que rondan por ahí se basan completamente en ella?! (esta también, pero varía un poco) "esto será difícil" me dije a mí mismo, pero no me rendí, me comprometí en una gran investigación, ¡busqué entre sitios, videos, documentos y mucho más (nada más busqué en como 2 sitios, pero ignoremos eso) para darles a ustedes lo mejor de lo mejor! (junto a algunas libertades que me tomé, jeje) Dicho esto, vamos a los detalles de esta canción.
"Night Cruising" Esta es interesante.
La letra de esta canción es algo bueno, es bastante confusa, en la mayoría de las líneas no se entiende lo que Sato quería transmitir, mi decisión fue hacerla lo más melancólica posible, tomando en cuenta que fue la última actuación de Sato, esto es lo que cambié:
En el primer verso hice unos cambios (aparte de lo de cambiar palabras) decidí cambiar "loca noche" por simplemente "esa noche" aunque esta línea sí estuviera en la letra original, también quité la palabra "especial" de "Esa chica llevaba algo especial" me pareció un poco de más.
En el segundo verso tuve un problema, las primeras 2 líneas se traducen literalmente a "No lo hice por nadie, hemos estado viviendo nuestras vidas" que pueda que sea solamente yo, pero no me parece tener ningún sentido, así que decidí cambiarla por completo y, teniendo en mente mi meta de hacerla lo más melancólica posible, la convertí a "Toda mi vida la he vivido solamente para mí" me pareció una reflexión que diría el propio Sato, espero que no les moleste a ustedes.
El "Night Cruising" se traduce literalmente a "Crucero nocturno" sonaba extraño, así que decidí cambiarlo a "Navegación nocturna" que suena mucho mejor (en mi opinión)
Y por último cambié la línea qué dice "Escucho una bonita voz" por "Creo que escucho una hermosa melodía" aunque esto lo hice solamente una vez ya que justo después repite la misma línea y ahí decidí dejarla como estaba.
