Gmail lets you add hyperlinks to images in the body of the email. Here are the 4 easy steps of how you can easily add an image into an email and then create a link via that image.
Step 1: Use the insert image button to add an image
Step 2: It can be from Drive, photos, an upload, a URL
Step 3: Once the image is in the Gmail body you can drag/highlight over the image to select it -
i) make sure it “turns blue” to show it is selected
ii) if you simply click on the image it creates a blue border with the ability to resize it - this is not selected correctly
Step 4: use the link button to add a hyper-link destination (URL)
when you send the email, the recipient will be able to click on the image taking them to your selected link.
