Hey guys, welcome back to NEXTGENBLOGGER and in this video I want to show you how to create a sequence in Premiere Pro. Now to start off, I've already opened up Premiere Pro and I've also imported couple of videos right here. Now before I show you how to create a sequence, first let's understand what is a sequence.
Well, a sequence is like an environment that you create to edit your videos. Okay. And right now as you can see, there is no sequence present in the timeline. So there are two ways you can create a sequence.
The first way is by dragging and dropping a video on the timeline and then Premiere Pro automatically creates a sequence. The second way is the manual way. So let's look at the first way.
So let's say, let me drag and drop this video on the timeline like this. And as you can see, the moment I dragged and dropped this video on the timeline, Premiere Pro automatically created a sequence right here. Now, the key thing to notice here is that when you drag and drop a video on the timeline and create a sequence, the sequence settings is the same as that of the video settings.
So what I mean by that is currently the resolution and frame rate of this video is 1280 x 720 and 25 frames per second. And this exact setting is applied to the sequence, which means the resolution and frame rate of the sequence is also 1280 x 720 and 25 frames per second. So keep this in mind.
Okay. So this is the first way you can create a sequence. The second way is the manual way. So let's see how you can create a sequence manually.
So let me first delete everything that is present in the timeline. Let me also delete this sequence. Now if you want to create a sequence manually, what you need to do is you need to go to the 'File' menu, go to 'New' and now select this option that is 'Sequence'.
Next click on this 'Settings' tab. Next, select the frame rate that you want for your sequence. So let's say I want 30 frames per second for my sequence.
So let me select this option that is 30 frames per second inside 'Timebase'. Next, select the resolution that you want for your sequence. So let's say I want 1920 x 1080 as resolution for my sequence.
1920 x 1080 is already set inside 'Frame Size'. So I'm not going to change it. You don't need to make any other changes inside any of these options.
Now simply click on this 'OK' button. And that's it. We have successfully created a sequence manually.
So this is how you can create a sequence in Premiere Pro. Do let me know your thoughts in the comment section below. Like the video and subscribe to my YouTube channel.
I will again see you in the next video. Till then, thanks for watching.
