💸 Flutter Crypto App from Scratch (2025) | Build & Design Like a Pro — Part 1
We’re building a modern Crypto Tracker App with Flutter from scratch!
In Part 1, we’ll set up the foundation of the app — from project structure to fetching live crypto data — all without an API key!
🚀 What You’ll Learn in This Video
✅ Add and explain key Flutter packages: http, provider, shared_preferences, intl
✅ Create a clean and scalable folder structure (core, models, services, providers, screens, widgets)
✅ Set up a Material 3 theme with automatic light/dark mode using ThemeMode.system
✅ Define API constants (host, path, base query) using the CoinMarketCap public data endpoint
✅ Build an API service using HTTP.get, timeout handling, headers, and JSON parsing
✅ Create data models (Crypto, Quote) to map JSON responses to Dart objects
✅ Run a quick test to confirm that live crypto data is fetched successfully
💡 By the end of this part, you’ll have a functional backend setup and ready-to-scale Flutter project that cleanly fetches real crypto data!
